Foxfire's Andy Capp
CD,CDX,TD,VB
| This morning while looking for pictures of coonhounds I came across a very old envelope from the AKC that was under some prints of pembrokes I had purchased as gifts many years ago but had forgotten. On the outside of the envelope was information about the dog certificate inside and the dog. It was Andy, my first corgi, and a notation of the titles we had worked on together. He was a sweet, soft, gentle dog who taught me a lot and enriched my life in many ways. It is funny how we forget the specific dog but what we learn from them enhances our relationship with the dogs that follow. I would like to remember the good things but they are overshadowed by memories of his poor health. By the time he was a year old he was looking like a dog that was 7 or 8 and by the time he was 4 he was a very old dog. He was a special guy. |
